The buoy network is fully operational.

A Wavescan buoy is moored SW of the Bear Island at position 73° 33'N 16° 30'E from 31 Jan 2010 at 1015 UTC.

The Wavescan buoy in the Central Barents Sea at position 74° 00'N 30° 00'E has been recovered to shore after mooring breakdown.

The Wavescan buoy offshore Nordkyn drifted from the mooring location 21st June 2010 and has been recovered to shore.
