WorldWaves is a global offshore wind and wave database providing:

• ECMWF WAM model archive data calibrated against satellite and buoy data
• Time series data available for up to 40-years
• Modelling for nearshore wave time series data and statistics
• Data products to support engineering and operational considerations
• Regional and country software versions

WorldWaves data are based on 10-years (and in most regions over 45-years) of data from the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) WAve Model (WAM).

It integrates high quality offshore wave statistics globally with appropriate state-of-the-art coastal numerical wave models, geographical and bathymetric information, providing a detailed statistical description of the ocean wave climate at any nearshore location worldwide within minutes.

The WorldWaves package provides:

• High quality offshore or nearshore wave statistic, directional spectra and time series data in a timely, cost-effective manner
• Reconstructions of wave conditions for particular time periods anywhere globally
